It has to be at least two dozen guys who played in that decade who are dead.

NFL players from the 80s dying? I wonder if it'll get more press than pro wrestlers dying before the age of 40 ... steroids, drug usage, addicted to fame and fortune and not knowing how to live properly once the spotlight burns out.

Not exactly what I expected to see, either, when I clicked on it.

Add Franklin to David Woodley, Reggie Roby and Davis Overstreet as members of the RIP Dolphins alumni chapter.

No steroids in the NFL. Nothing to see here. Men die all the time of natural causes at age 47. Move along.

People don't care if players are taking steroids across the board, as they obviously do in the NFL.

They do care if time-honored individual records are being slayed because of it.

I would guess, though, that hydrocortisone and other such injected pain medication is more culpable for these deaths than the anabolic steroids.

    But, that's just a guess.

Your Lilliputian attempts to slay the NFL is quite comic, though.

Not trying to slay the NFL, Columbo. Just amused at how the league gets a free pass from an easily duped public.
