I'm talking about the people who never question the decisions by their superiors even when they passionately believe they have a better alternative.

Thoughts? Has this made ours a weaker business culture?

They'll be employed longer than the loudmouths like I will be.

Yesmen and yeswomen get that way by having no passion for anything except themselves, so there really wouldn't be a time they'd be going against what they believe in.

There's disagreeing with a superior with tact, and there's disagreeing with a superior and laying your neck on the chopping block.

If you can do the first thing, that's the ideal, of course.

And of course, a lot of the people I remember saying "I'll never take any shit from anybody" when they were younger ... well, they're generally not taking shit from anybody while serving it up at the McDonald's drive-thru window.
