I think the tournament ended for these Hoosiers weeks ago.

But yes, I see your point.

Meanwhile, my alma mater is a six-win, possibly racist, laughing stock.

    Go Cardinals!

Which one? Stevens Point? Whitewater? La Crosse?

Madison, which features one of the best history grad programs in the country. Her mentor professor at Fullerton -- Gordon Bakken -- is a Madison native, not to mention the cousin of THAT Jim Bakken.

He did, in the early part of this century. Was one of their stud pitchers.

Contemplated the road trip to Omaha this week, but that would have meant going through Nebraska. So I'm spending the day and evening at the Pepsi Center.

    But go Titans.

Did Cedric Ceballos play at Fullerton? Or was it one of those other non-descript California schools?

Screw you, Poin. How many losses did the 49ers have this year? Enough to get put on probation. Go Titans! Thanks for the link Birdscribe!

We (Long Beach State) made our deal with the devil last year to bend the rule regarding some JC transcripts, and it paid off with an NCAA shellacking in the first round at the hands of Tennessee.

Of course I am rooting for the Titans. The Big West is so pathetic, it may in be danger of heading to play-in territory. Go Titans.

CSF and Long Beach State have one other thing in common -- both schools hired a guy with the initials B.S. to run their athletic departments.
