Maybe Loria should do the job himself?

And Girardi will sign on with the Cubbies as soon as possible

Couldn't Loria have kept his mouth shut and just traded him to the Cubs for something?

Probably not. Everyone knew Girardi would be gone for months.

Girardi would be welcome anywhere else but with the Marlins.

I actually meant back when the shit went down about Loria running his mouth and Girardi telling him to STFU. Guess enough folks would have figured him a dead man coaching, anyway.

Whatever you may think of him, I still believe Girardi is NL Manager of the Year for the job he did with that team this season. And since I'm not there, I can't speak of any Girardi negatives, but I do know I'd want him managing my team.

I'm a Cubs fan, and I DO want him managing my team. Preferably today.

What about Felipe Alou in Miami? I realize he's a little gray, but wasn't Girardi's downfall the fact that he couldn't connect with the team's Latin contingent?

  12. This is nuts. I'm no longer a Florida fan.
