It would hurt, but Danica-mania has largely faded anyway.

And the IRL and Champ Car are not long for a merger anyhow.

And that story had an assload of speculation.

And I also love how Montoya's move to NASCAR is considered a "coup". Montoya has driven has way out of F1, NASCAR is a step down for him.

Speculation? Her dad was at the race negotiating with owners and said "all arrows point this way" in reference to NASCAR.

NASCAR would love to have Patrick simply for the new markets and advertisement money.

    Oh, and hype.  ;)

And contradictory quotes saying Danica was worried about the 38-week schedule and her negotiations with other IRL teams.

Might be legit, might be a bargaining ploy to drive her salary up.

The IRL schedule does seem a lot more forgiving than the NASCAR grind.

If she's in the right car, she can win pretty quickly in any league.

What happened with Rahal-Letterman this year? Why are its cars so far behind Ganassi and Penske? Didn't seem that way last year.

They had the shitty Panoz chassis at first, didn't they?

Yeah, but she had four straight top 10s in the Panoz. Since the switch, she's been in the back of the pack.

There's a joke in there somewhere about IRL top 10 also being back of the pack. :D
  11. Bubbler beat me to it ...
When I read the story I immediately thought it was a ploy for her to get more $$$.
She hasn't performed well so needs to throw a scare into R-L to make the think she's got a higher value.
    This is a total ploy.
  12. Maybe, but the NASCAR marketing guys could do some serious stuff with her.
