Yeah, that makes sense

    It probably won't generate a long discussion -- although you never know around here -- but William & Mary has been told they can keep Tribe as their name for NCAA postseason purposes -- but that their logo is a no-no.

    Reason? There's two feathers in the logo.

    I'm not opening this Native American nickname can of worms -- just saying that to be allowed to keep the name, but lose the logo over two feathers, seems dumb to me.

    The Utah Utes have a feather and drum logo and get to keep it and the name. They also have a hawk mascot. It's got lots of feathers.

    Well, the best point can be made about Florida State, but the difference is that the tribes have "signed off" on those names.
