Wasn't there a separate Negro League "draft" yesterday?

Yep. Each team took a living former Negro Leagues player about an hour before the real draft began. It was pretty cool.

So what the fuck is this doing up on Yahoo! now to confuse the baseball ignorant? Grrrrrrrr.

Does Scott Boras represent any of them? ;D

Seriously, it's a very nice thing. Too bad that the history of baseball for the first 47 years of the 20th century made this necessary.

    I can't believe the Yankees didn't draft a pitcher.

If he's a shortstop, he probably has just about as much range as Derek Jeter.
