A very loud third on that sentiment.

A friend who was at the game last night scooped me up a Daily News and Inky today. They're sitting on my desk at work. I like the idea, but they're right, they're not getting a new subscription out of me.

I was telling someone at the office last night that if nothing else, we're still the go-to for postgame front page mockups. And if the other team wins, we don't have to dump the copies in Bolivia.

All because of your story on Donovan's end zone dance!

Philly fans and Boston fans are neck-and-neck for most passionate crew of pro sports fans that I know. They could sell 300,000 special editions today if they printed as many.

Beard, when's the book coming out?

Ya know, we had a house ad for it today, for people to order the book. I know the Inky beat writer was pounding away during the NLCS, just in case, and I assume others were as well. A lot of it will probably be reprints of stories from along the way.

Sorry, members of the Optimists Club. I was just following the astute Mizzou's sentiment. :-X As long as Philly teams keep winning titles, the papers will be healthy. Too bad every city's teams can't win every year or we'd be on easy street.
