Old SportsJournalists.com joke, but it actually originated with Jerry Tarkanian after Kentucky got caught trying to pay a recruit: "The NCAA is so mad at Kentucky, it's going to put Cleveland State on probation for another two years."

Ah, yes. Now it rings a bell. Carry on.

  3. This is two years probation.
    Minimum.
And the stories that are going to emerge after the 'Houn retires are not going to be pretty ones.

Somewhere, Kelvin Sampson is making room for Jim Calhoun in the Disgraced Former Coaches Clubhouse.

At least Calhoun won titles with his disgrace.

Only if UConn decides to cooperate with NCAA otherwise could be considerably worse. This could force Calhoun's "retirement".

Not to threadjack, but I've noticed the same thing in Yahoo's writing. Any chance a couple of outlets like this could save the jobs of a few good writers who otherwise leave the business? Especially if they had "regional outlets."

I think the door to that party just opened wide, and aren;t going to wait until he retires.

You think this has any effect this weekend? You know these questions are coming out at the press conferences.
