Again you did not read the article. Also included "defrauding" universities as it
    relates to scholarships.

Start thinking before you post more of your uninformed thoughts.

From your link, we learn that Norby Walters served no jail time and his convictions were thrown out. There is also this:

Besides their ignominy, the pair's legacy might be the Uniform Athlete Agents Act drafted in 2000 as a template for states looking to outlaw what Walters and Bloom and done. Forty-two states have enacted some kind of agent-regulating legislation, though the fact they've followed up with little enforcement is a point of contention amid the improprieties of today.

    Basically proving my entire contention.

Now, we're done here, so more of your trolling will be meaningless to me.

Does not prove anything at all. To your original point you said it was not
"illegal" Now you see there are laws on the books. Perhaps not enforced
to the extent they should but still there.

Also plenty of laws as they relate to taxes both from agent and player standpoint.
Is agent sending player a 1099 for the money he pays out? Is player claiming
    it on his tax return?

Are you implying this income is being reported to the IRS?

If not, it is, indeed, illegal income.

What's it income for? Could be a gift.

If you have to reach into the IRS bag, you're defeated on whether this is illegal. That's really a long way to go and a pretty stupid avenue to take. But let me know when that verdict comes down.

Sheesh. You guys want so badly for this story to matter, and it just doesn't. Player got money. Big whoop.
