Has anyone followed the story of Yahoo! CEO Scott Thompson who listed having a B.S. in Computer Science and Accounting when he only has a B.S. in Business Administration with an emphasis in accounting?

The Yahoo! board member who chaired the search committee that hired Thompson is stepping down.

One question I have is how can you not know what college degree you have?

It's been an unmitigated disaster since last week. Anyone else would have been fired long ago.

He's been lying about it for years.

BFD. If he's doing a good job (and I have no idea how his job performance rates), who cares?

He hasn't been doing a good job. The whole reason this came out was a background search by a hedge-fund manager who is a major stakeholder and wants him gone.

I wonder if they checked his W2's as well.

The Board member who vetted him also padded her resume and she's stepping down.

This is bad, he claimed a comp sci degree 4 years before the school even offered that degree.

The worst part is they used Google to bring him down.
