XM hardware help?

Discussion in 'Anything goes' started by Omar_dont_scare, Apr 2, 2008.

  1. So, I've got the SkyFi 2, set up to work in the car and in the house.

Yesterday, the car cradle took a bit of a bump while driving on a gravelly road. I don't have it hard-wired, as I rent cars often and like to bring my XM with me.

Anyway, now my XM doesn't work. I only get the "Antenna" error message.

    Works fine in the house.

Do I need a new car cradle? Is it the antenna cord itself?

Just curious if anyone had had similar problems. I'll hang up and listen to the answer.

first, go to www.xmfan.com and click on the hardware discussion forum.
Usually, it's antenna issues, not cradle, but I would try the forum.

Make sure the antenna isn't disconnected from the cradle. The bump could have knocked it loose.

  4. It's as connected as I can get it.
