Yeah, Ed Blazina’s wiseass comment did not do anyone any favors.

It's astonishing to me that a four-year consensual relationship that began when the woman was 22 is held up as evidence of his bad behavior.

Why are women infantilized like this?

JFC. You don't think she felt pressure to fuck him? Of course she did. Men have been doing this to young women forever.

Let's face it, there have always been guys like Fuoco is just about every newsroom. That was my experience in several newsrooms going back to the late 1970s (yeah, I'm a bought-out old fart now). The reaction to them was the same as Fuoco's case. The women warned each other and most of the men snickered about the newsroom tailhound on the prowl for interns. Not a lot of heroes in these stories.

At my last job, we used to call the interns "Larry's Harem." He was like Pied Piper to them.

At my first job, the News Editor was living with one of the reporters. He told her that if there was ever any conflict between her and somebody else in the newsroom, he would automatically side with the other person. That was acceptable to her.

How does one obtain this superpower? Is the sale of a soul, or some part of it, necessary to acquire it?
