    Here's a question: Is union protection considered like attorney-client privilege ? In other words, can the union go through social media posts of a former member who worked at that paper and look for similar posts to the one that got this woman called on the carpet?

    I don't know, but I don't think it would need to go that far. There are probably countless variations of social media posts made by current members that would be comparable. Hell, some people might volunteer their previous postings as evidence in support of their colleague.

    No, this is a line in the sand for me. Unequal treatment by employers is unconscionable and quite possibly demanding of a lawsuit.
