WTF is up with Coke Zero?

    In California it's "soda"...

    That's because everybody who's from California moved to Washington and Oregon so they could keep calling it pop. Everyone living there is from more soda-centric (read: lesser) states.

    Pineapple on pizza is my No. 1 pet peeve.

    No. 2 is calling soda "pop."

    Having lived on both sides of PA, the soda/pop debate is a weird regional thing. In the western part of the state, it's pop. Out east, it's soda. Not sure about the middle (some help, shottie).

    I lived in Iowa City for a stretch, and EVERYONE called it "pop."

    North of the border, it's a "soft drink", in both official languages, although the French translation makes it sound more like "gentle liquor".

    "Cola" was another regional thing I'd heard. Given the connections I have to Western Pennsylvania, "pop" was pretty much the norm growing up in Casa Cougar.
