Writing Ideas for Game Day Magazines

Got a call the other day from a Junior Hockey team and was invited to do a one-on-one interview with their captain. I will not be getting paid for it, however, I believe this is the perfect opportunity to build my profile. I was also told I could write anything I wanted to contribute as long as it was within reason.

    So, two questions:

    1. How would you go about doing a question-answer feature. I was thinking a little intro about the player first. Should I keep my questions simple during the interview, then add more detail later?
    2. A few examples/ideas of pieces you've written for a game-day magazine before.
