Granted, the AP poll has been reduced to meaningless (Thanks to Disney) and the point is moot. I just thought that today's poll results sent an interesting message - whatever that message means.

    A) What's this week's poll?

    B) I don't consider myself a writer; I write; that's a whole 'nother topic. That said, I do not want a rematch.

How can a message be interesting if you don't know what it is?

Michigan dropped to third in the coaches poll and stayed second in AP.

This is a classic case of writers trying to create a story.

If all the writers who vote got together in the same room and decided to vote en masse, perhaps. But do we know how many voted Michigan second, or third, etc? I think not.
It's merely opinion. And there are two weeks of games left anyway. Michigan might end up second after they are played.

It should be. It had a sizeable lead over USC heading in. Michigan wouldn't drop enough in the polls to lose points. But if USC wins its last two it can probably make up that distance in strength of schedule.

Or just the realization that after watching the rest of the contenders the writers realize Michigan remains the second-best team in the nation.

The writers' vote has no bearing on the BCS title game.

How can anyone argue AGAINST the rematch?
