Wright Thompson knocks one deep

    sometimes i think thompson is a one-trick pony. everything is Wagner's Fanfare. a fancy trick, to be sure. but it's gushy and overwrought. He needs to dial it down and experiment with another tempo, another voice. a more skeptical perspective. if he wants to grow.

    I haven't forgetten it. There's writing short and writing shorter.
    He can't tell a 6,500 word story in 3,500? Or 3,500 in 2,000? And without the syrup?
    I don't see all the Wright thompson love for his work. Talented? yes. But HenryHenry said it best, he's a one-trick pony; gushy and overwrought.

    He's brilliant, but I wish he would stop with the first person references in everything he writes. It drives me crazy.
