Here's a general wrestling question for the masses:

How do you score a dual meet for high school matches?

    If memory serves it is:
    6 points for a pin
5 points for a technical fall
4 points for a major decision
3 points for a decision and forfeit

I think a forfeit is six points.

um, let the coaches score it and give them to you.

Yeah, all those "weird" things are six points -- forfeit, win by disqualification, win by injury default.

And just to be complete -- a draw is 2 points each. If your state still allows draws.

    I like this idea best.

I don't think there are draws anymore. There's a 2-minute sudden death period with the first takedown winning, then 30 seconds (I think) with one guy in the top position, one on the bottom. The guy on the bottom gets out, he wins, the guy on top rides him for 30 seconds, he wins.
  9. ... sucks.

    Thanks for your help, everyone.

Now, does anyone want to cover the meet for me?

Never covered a dual meet. Don't think I'll have to anytime soon.

Don't touch the mat, if you're not fond of skin diseases.

Oh, and don't make fun of the cauliflower ear. That's just not done.
