Can anyone help me out with scoring for wrestling?

What's the differnce between a decison and a major decision?

    Thanks.

    For the team it is:
    Decision - 3 points
    Major decision - 4 points
    Technical fall - 5 points
    fall/pin/forfeit - 6 points

    For indidivuals:
    decision is 1-7 points
    major decision is 8-14 points
technical fall is 15 points or more

    Edit: Per Mooninite. Thanks.

    Also:

    a takedown is 2 points
    a reversal is 2 points
    an escape is 1 point
a near fall is 2 or 3 points depending on how long the offensive wrestler holds it
rule infractions are -1 or -2 points

    Actually
    Decision = 1-7 point victory
Major decision is any victory between 8-14 points (8-0, 15-1, etc)
    8
Technical fall is any victory by 15 points points or more.

Any other questions ask away...have been covering wrestling since the first olympics...at least it seems like it.
