Yes. Mainly because you notice it and, as a guy, the last thing I want to notice is a dude's dick.
The way it is now, sure it's there but you don't pay attention to it/notice it. When it's a flick with a condom, I can't help but think about the safe sex measures they went through, etc.
Plus, it's kind of difficult to buy into the escapism if the performers took the time to wrap it, you know? I mean, what are the odds that the pizza delivery guy would have a condom on him when he gets seduced by the MILF who needed extra sausage?

So, basically you're claiming that the reason you're so strenuously opposed to a condom preventing you from seeing the dude's entire dick is because you don't want to see the dude's dick?

    Yeah, that makes sense.

Not at all what I'm saying. What I'm saying is I can block out the penis in porn when it's just there. Add a condom to the mix and it becomes noticeable.
Plus, the whole point of porn is escapism. You don't want to think about real-life situations like safe sex when you're watching them.

From everything I've heard most porn actors are tested for STDs much, much more regularly than the general population. I understood the industry was fairly clean, so I'm not really sure this is necessary on every set.
