Wow. I'm shocked a HS team nicknamed Orphans would lose 32 straight.

Who the hell would think Orphans is a good school nickname? And could you get psyched up to play for a team with such a nickname?

Hell, there's a school in north Mississippi whose nickname is the Urchins. I covered their baseball team in a playoff series last year and they came out in the most god-awful brown and yellow uniforms. They looked like the old original San Diego Padres unis and they were butt-ugly.

 

It'll get worse during baseball season. These guys are in their division.

I still love the female DJ who was chronicling the Warriors' trek back to Coney Island. That radio station had to have the best group of reporters ever.
