Would You Eat Horse Meat?

You are aware that animals that are raised on farms are domesticated, right?

Someone else mentioned horses being dirty. Dirtier than pigs?

My issue is I have heard horse meat isn't good. But I'll gladly try it.

Obviously taste is subjective. But, if the only horses being slaughtered for consumption are horses who are old, and going to be put down anyway, that might explain why some horse meat isn't so great.

If we were raising horses for consumption -- which really does sound kind of sad to me -- they would be fed a diet designed to improve their taste, they'd have their exercise limited -- that's why it's sad, horses are born to run -- and they'd be slaughtered at a younger age.

I'm with Beef the Third. I'll eat just about anything. Not sure I'd order horse from a menu, but I'd probably give it a try. I've had rabbit, which is very good. Also ostrich, deer, squirrel, gator, goat (also tasty), bison. I'm making my mouth water thinking about some of those meals.
