Would you decline an interview opportunity?

    You know, Bobcat, you could have interviewed two bullpen catchers in the time it took you to post that rant. ;)

    You could always ask them all if they hate having to do this press crap a month before spring training starts. It could actually lead to a couple of things, including a better working relationship (they realize that you know how silly some of this stuff gets) and getting a feel for how they view both the press and their personal privacy.

    It'll likely lead to nothing, but any chance you get to chat with them and build a rapport would be time well spent, I would think.
