Would you beat your wife's (would-be) rapist to death?

    Good idea.

Just asking for a little efficiency and more clear-headedness in the heat of the moment.

Sharia Law is alive in Idaho (based on the father's actions, not the judge's)

What are you talking about? That's straight from the Bible.

So is Sharia Law. The American Right isn't arguing that religion shouldn't be the foundation of American Law, they merely argue that their preferred religion is the one true religion whose foundation is the model of the American Jurisprudence.

Didn't click through the NYDN story since everyone was complaining about it. Here's a good report from Fox5 NY

Judge releases man charged with killing wife's attempted rapist

The case sounds like textbook manslaughter to me. The assault on the wife was over and the assailant had retreated from the home. I wouldn't blame a jury for nullifying the charges in a case like this. Shades of Bernie Goetz.

Feel like there's more to this story. It seems to cut and dry. I guess I've watched too much
    Law and Order.

Couldn't the guy just shoot him with a tranquilizer?

Fuck this guy who tried to rape the woman. I'm glad that piece of shit got killed and died in a fairly painful way.

This isn't manslaughter or assault, it isn't a crime.

It is taking out the trash.

I wish it happened far more often.
