Would she be considered a walk-on?

    I'm not sure this part of an otherwise helpful post is true. It's my understanding that players can receive scholarships without signing National Letters of Intent, though it's true the school can't discuss recruits by name until they've either signed an NLI or enrolled, whichever happens first.

    Kids in these situations also often get partial tuition waivers, meaning they'll pay in-state tuition and fees, even if they're out-of-state kids. Happens at a lot of Division II schools.
