    Matt Clement taking the screamer off the forehead. Any one of those could have been a Conigliaro.

    Clement also was never the same after that.

    I remember the ball that ricocheted off Brandon McCarthy’s head practically to first base. That was a horrible sound.

    I might have told this here before, but my sister was an EMT that night who helped take Theismann off the field. One of her co-workers swiped Theismann's jersey and tried to sell it, got caught.

    I have friends who were close to the field when Tulsa Drillers' coach Mike Coolbaugh got hit by a line drive while coaching first base in a game against the Arkansas Travelers. They said it was, understandably, awful.

    Steve Yeager getting hit in the throat by a broken bat in 1976 hasn't been mentioned, I don't think.
