I wanted to say stupidest fans, but stupidity can be just one reason for ranking your worst...and every voter gets five selections.

I'd have to go with Dallas (fickle with the Cowboys for years, Rangers have done nothing yet they always have had strong attendance figures), Memphis (anyone that can review the Pepper Rogers pitch to the NFL and the many failed minor sport franchises they have know all too well that the great minor league ballpark can't hide all their blemishes). I'll keep my three votes to play later.

Oh, and Memphis also has a Pyramid (built to attract a pro basketball team) that's just sitting now.

Not sure I'll vote, but I will say I'm surprised at how the TrailBlazers pissed away (and pissed off, I guess) their fan base.

Milwaukee and Green Bay aren't mutually exclusive fan bases. They should count as one entry.

My vote goes to Miami for worst.

How can you frame it "worst professional sports town" and then rip Dallas-Fort Worth for supporting the Rangers?

Wanted to be inclusive....why ignore the Columbuses of the world compared to the New Yorks? That's why everyone has five votes.

    Monty:

Because Rangers fans don't force management to earn its money.

    In no particular order:

Miami. Aside from the Dolphins . . . . not much there.

Tampa. They're still figuring out this whole sports thing.

Can't imagine any argument on either one.

Chicago. Major points lost for Wrigley being more The World's Biggest Sports Bar than the shrine to history and passion it should be. The experience does not compare favorably to Fenway. And I think it should.

    Kansas City. Just because.

    Can't remember my fifth.

I would have put Boston in my top five because of all the whining we endured for years, then all the "Red Sox Nation" bullshit. And the Patriots ...

St. Louis is a worthless hockey and football town, but they love themselves to death with when it comes to baseball.

Cleveland because even God hates Cleveland. ;)

    Philly for obvious reasons.

I included Detroit because of the inevitable trashing of the city with each title and their awful, awful football team.

I'll give you the awful football team.
You're a dumb motherfucker for the former. It's been 17 years since there was a problem and three Stanley Cups, an NBA title and an AL Pennant since then. How does that trashing stand up to ... oh... Dallas?
