You're right, it was all the way bad.

I've said this on an old 'worst covers' thread, but Salt 'n Pepa's remake of "Twist and Shout" was brutal...

"Shake that booty on out, now..." :-X

No one's brought up Alanis Morrisette's version of "My Humps?" I don't know if that was so much bad as just....bizarre

Chris Cornell's "Billie Jean" cover deserves some mention.

It's funny the cover tunes that have made BOTH threads. For the record, Cornell's version belongs on this thread, not the other one.

You win, Devil, unless Shatner doesn't really count as a "singer."
Didn't he also do "Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds"?

I like Dolly Parton, but her version of "Stairway to Heaven" is very strange.

Some of the songs Sinatra did to seem "with it" in the 1970s were abominable, in the so bad they're good category, like half "The Main Event."

He's bad, bad, Leroy Brown, the meanest CAT in the whole damn town...

Madonna's hack job of "American Pie"

A Perfect Circle's version of Imagine is horrible. Maynard has a great voice, but it's just....not his type of song to be covering IMO.

U2's version of "All along the watchtower"
