Don't forget Juwan Howard, the NBA's first $100 million man.

I can't recall the numbers, but at one point in the early 2000s Ruben Sierra had played for six major league teams in five years, along with a stint in Japan or somewhere like that. He was getting paychecks from all of them at the same time, and didn't currently play for any of them.

I'm pretty sure there were two separate times when the Sixers had three head coaches on their payroll at once. The first was after Doug Moe was fired, and the second was after Larry Brown left.

Gary Matthews Jr., five years, $50 million based on one standout season in an otherwise mediocre career.

The $10 million per year wasn't outrageous, but the five years were. He was gone after three.

I am convinced that the Angels signed him on one *catch* that season.

Anyways, lots of good picks here.

    McIllvane and Koncack... good god.

Cabrerra contract isn't in the same stratosphere - he's produced at an MVP level for portions of this contract.

Cabrera's extension doesn't technically start until next year, so that's not accurate (he had 2 years left when he re-upped last spring). And like I said, let's talk again in 3 years.

Cutler's current deal has to be up there.

I'll say this... He has a damn good agent.

If you're a Dodgers fan living in L.A. who doesn't have cable (70 percent of that market), that Dodgers TV deal with Time Warner Cable don't look so good.

Didn't the Cardinals pay something like $30 million for 14 games worth of Kevin Kolb?

But, you know, he was tall. Probably still is.
