worst/cheesiest sports movie?

I love--LOVE--Rookie of the Year. It's exactly what it was intended to be.

For worst/cheesy, you gotta go with a movie that was shooting for drama and angst and chills and glory....and instead comes off like a SNL skit. What's that last Kevin Costner movie, about the pitcher? Yeah, like that.

 

yeah, these are two different categories

worst? wow, so many to choose from. what about ed -- the one with matt leblanc and the monkey. i never saw it, but, well, i saw enough to know it deserved to be here.

there's the one where whoopi goldberg was a basketball coach?

how about celtic pride?

and 21, i believe you're thinking about 'for love of the game' -- god, that sucked ass

And, on top of all that, a movie that glorifies crossing a picket line....

 

"the replacements" was FAR from the worst, cheeziest sports flick ever. it wasn't good, but it was watchable.

Blank Check and that basketball movie with Dwayne Wayne and one of the Wayans brothers as brothers--one of which dies and becomes a ghost to help the other become a great basketball player.

I agree with Ed and Air Bud the most though.

And Eddie was the name of Whoopi's hoops flick.

 

Cathie Lee sleeps with guy (or guys, can't remember) on the high school team she coaches ...
