Worst Announcers Thread

I love Clyde.
But Johnson is the absolute screaming at the top of his lungs worst.
Kevin Harlan's screaming also annoys me.

 

From hockey, Jack Edwards in is a class of his own.

But I also hate the pair on FSN Detroit. They always remind me of Statler and Waldorf calling a hockey game.

 

I rise in defense of Jack Edwards. That guy breathed life into Sumo Digest.

 

If only he could lessen his energy with the Bruins.

Here in the DC area, we endured Rob Dibble - - until his critical remarks about Stephen Strasburg got him fired from his broadcasting gig. Ear drums all over the National Capital Area stood and applauded that day...


I thoroughly dislike Jon Gruden on MNF [BTW, that is an outstanding parody of Gruden above!]- - but in all honesty, he is ten steps higher on the broadcasting food chain than Joe Theisman ever will be.

To me, Johnson is a lot like Vitale. He yells and the screams, but he at least brings energy to the game. And you can see how people like his energy, so at least some people like him.

Kellogg or Gruden, I cannot see anyone saying they actually enjoy them above a "meh."

 

I know he's supposedly an institution, but I absolutely cannot listen to an Alabama game as called by Eli Gold. At least he doesn't still have a drunk Kenny Stabler slobbering into the mike next to him, but still...

 

How DARE you, sir....How DARE you!
