Which has been the more spectacular collapse over the last week?

  1. St. Louis Cardinals squander most of 8 1/2 G lead

    58.8%
  2. Michigan State vs. Notre Dame

    41.2%

Amusing that all the talk is about what the Cardinals are doing/not doing ... and yet 10 of 27 votes have gone to Sparty.

Because, you know ... that WAS one gag job for the ages.

Well, that's the last fucking time I turn away from a Pujols at-bat and watch the damn near unwatchable "Kidnapped". Fuck me.

Runners on 1st and 2nd with 2 outs, so you walk him to load the bases ... putting the go-ahead run in scoring position?

You might not intentionally walk him but you sure as hell don't give him anything to hit.

Well, I assume that was the case ... great hitters find a way to hit the unhittable pitches.

The Cardinals could be in a two-week long version of their collapse in 1985. This makes me giddy.

I just saw the pitch to ALBERT PUJOLS, very fat pitch.

Yes... Meredith said it was a sinker that the reliever said "didn't sink."

"I might make that pitch 100 times a year and get away with it," Meredith said. "Not tonight. He's Albert Pujols. What more can you say?

So....there could be a one-game playoff for the NL Central on Tuesday?

If that happened, would the winner's NLDS series begin next Thursday?
