I Elton-ed up our sports page and went with:

That's what I'm rolling with in the morning. I think it sums up the title drought and this particular series quite nicely.

Read my long-winded sappy post on the World Series thread. It feels like a lifetime to me.
And the Browns have won a title more recently than the Eagles.

Phinally? A whole, long 28-year wait. Even BYH doesn't think that's a long time. Neither do Red Sox fans, Cubs fans, White Sox fans, Indians fans, Rangers fans, Tigers fans, Pirates fans, Orioles fans, Brewers fans, Astros fans, Giants fans, Padres fans, or Mariners fans.

It is a title drought...not as long as some, does not make the Philly phans "long-suffering," but 28 years is a title drought.

Browns have never even been to a Super Bowl.

Look at it this way: there haven't even been enough years between titles for the Phils for every baseball team to win one. How is that a drought?

Ph-anything is such a damned cliche at this point.

Of course, ESPN.com, Yahoo and Foxsports all have a variation of it.
