Am I the only one surprised we don't have such a thread, until now? Or has this already been done and I missed it? Yankees 7, Pirates 4 in the eighth inning.

The special on MLB is must-see TV. Very cool. Thanks, Bing Crosby.

Does anyone even know what I'm talking about? Is everybody busy watching it?

    I DVR'd it. When I got home, I fast-forwarded straight to Mazeroski's home run.

A surprise bonus was the postgame show with Bob Prince. Very entertaining, as Prince seemingly interviewed every single Pirate in about a five-minute span. Questions were Tommy-gunned to the Pirates as if ripped out of Howard Hawks' movie. Two questions ... boom! ... gone!

Journos today would cringe at the open homerism shown by Prince, but it was a nice slice of life from that time.

I'll have to watch the whole game when I get some time off.
