Starts December 26 in Sweden. Canada and the U.S. are the two top favoured teams.

If Mr. Miler is there (he usually covers this tourney), perhaps he could send us some dispatches.

  2. Almost went myself this year, JR. Got conflicted out.

Well, F-B, you and Mr. Miler could have both sent back dispatches

I know Terry Koshan of the Sun is there. Don't think he is one of us though.

Guy does a great job covering junior hockey.

  7. That's a lot of 6 a.m. rink time.

It's 1-0 for Germany over the U.S. in the second.

Watch the game on broadband here:

Germany beats the US 2-1 in overtime, shots 40-15 for the US who were lousy on the PP. Yeah, they didn't need Bobby Ryan or Bob Sanguinetti to score goals...

Belarus beats perenially WJ underachiever Finland 4-3. Interesting start to day one.

And you gotta hand it to the German goalie. He was pretty solid. And there were the two posts the Yanks hit, one early in the first.

The Sweden/Canada game makes me nervous as hell.

Maybe Moddy could sticky this thread until the end of the tourney (Jan 5)
