Canada barely won. Blew leads of 3-0 and 4-2.
Heatly (10 points in three games) scored with a few seconds left to go in the third to win it.

Is there a reason (other than suckitude) that somebody (like NHL Network) can't be showing WHC games — even if only the USA and Canada games?

I was home yesterday and I profess I watched a bunch of the Finland/Slovakia game. That was an unreal save.

Huggy might disagree but for some of us who watched Budaj as a jujior at St. Mike's', we're kinda amzaed he's come this far.

Did not know he was an O product. Very cool.

Budaj was an import to the O - I think he's from Slovakia. Certainly wasn't a standout at St. Mike's, but like many goalies needed time to develop.

I guess that would be why he was playing for Slovakia at the worlds. ;D

Next up: Canucks versus that hockey powerhouse, Norway.

2-1 over Norway? Wow ... I didn't get to watch but that doesn't sound good.

It was almost one of the biggest upsets ever.

Norway clogged up the neutral zone, swarmed Canadians every time they got the puck and tied it up in the second.

Rick Nash--with just sheer will--scored the winner with about four minutes left to go.

And Norway had played the night before.

Their goalie is a carpenter in real life. Seriously

As MacGregor said in his column today, the IIHF is only going to allow so many wake-up calls.

This team has Turin written all over it.

Good to see that Torts channeled the Broad Street Bullies game plan. If Team USA can't beat 'em, well, Team USA will beat 'em up.

Re: World Hockey Championship Running Thread...Gold Medal Game...Canada ve Russia

Canada beat Sweden 5-4 today in an entertaining game and Russia beat Finland earlier.

Don't know what the time but I hope it doesn't conflict with the Pens/Flyers game.

    Nash had an unbelievable goal
