Hamburg has opened a two-TD lead in the middle of the second quarter.
Frankfurt is hosting, as well as trying for a second straight title.
Had a chance to go with 6 other friends today but had PR work to do.
    Anyone watching this game?

Does anybody put this anywhere else but briefs?

    Not here.

I was puzzled by the reference to the game as the Yello Strom World Bowl.

    Strom?

Anyway, it appears that Strom is "river" in German and "river" is a colloquial reference to electricity.

Yello Strom is, as far as I can tell, an energy marketing company.

Sort of like the Enron Super Bowl.

Corporate sponsorship, and the marriage to the NFL, drive the league's existence.
Can you imagine the NFL teams with all those logo patches on their jerseys?
The teams have been shrinking for years, and there are only 6 now.
    Five are in Germany.
    Good title game, though.
Frankfurt keeps answering and remains within nine. A TD has just been called back which would have made it a 1-point game.
Less than eight minutes left in this one.

Off the subject a bit, does anyone know what (if any) provisions are made to keep the fields in these stadiums in decent shape for the month or so that the NFL Europa seasons overlap with soccer? I can't imagine Hamburger SV, Ajax, FC Koln, etc., want their pitches torn up, and they're obviously the primary tenants in those stadiums.

Meat Loaf at halftime? Now Europa has arrived.

I heard somewhere that this was to be the final game in the history of the NHL Europe experiment, that the league will become defunct following the season, is there any truth to this? I think it was just an off the cuff remark by a talking head on TSN or something.

Maybe it's because Thomas Dolby sent a cease-and-desist letter.
