Working on Friday

With football playoffs tonight, I would imagine quite a few of us are working, no?

 

Worked last night, working tonight, working Saturday. But I'm getting paid LOTS of money for doing it.

 

Big college football game tomorrow. Of course I'm working.

 

Vermont football playoffs ended 2 weeks ago. Our New Hampshire team ended on the same day. It's nice to have a 2-3 week break.

 

That's the one saving grace...I'm getting paid OT for this. And the better news is I'll have my Little Man for the night when I get off today.

 

Off tonight. 10 year high school reunion awaits. I am equally anticipating it and dreading it.

 

Big high school football night, in terms of the stakes of the games.

But only 5 games total.

 

I wish our paper paid OT for holidays.

 

Isn't it illegal for them not to?

 

We get owed days.

Actually, I guess we kind of get overtime because one day is a five-hour day instead of eight. But we get paid for 8. However, I was off that day (Wednesday) and worked an eight-hour shift on Thursday.

 

You should still be getting time-and-a-half for working the holiday, plus a day off.

 

i not only got overtime for thursday, but i got extra overtime because it was overtime anyway
