Good article... Perhaps a little too laudatory of Thomas George, who was excellent at the NYT, but not so much in Denver...

I wish I would have seen the Cold Pizza farewell, but needless to say, I'm not a regular viewer.

I've known Woody for more than a decade and he belongs in Denver. I'm glad he's going back...

    The Moddy Pipeline RULES!
    Followed SportsJournalists.com's lead. Love that.

I hope his sister is OK. Haven't talked to Woody in years but 21 is right. VERY good guy. VERY good.

  3. Does this mean Cold Pizza is going under? God, I hope so.

There was a promo for his return on the bottom of 1A this morning that said, "Woody's Back. Wit. Wisdom. Whimsy. Let the fun begin. Sunday."

His farewell was posted on ESPN.com at some point...you might still be able to find it

It's tough to be funny in print, and Woody often isn't.

I'd love to see a mea culpa for his strident column about how the Nuggets shouldn't draft Carmelo Anthony, now that Carmelo is the straw that stirs Denver's drink. He also got about 62 facts wrong about Anthony in that column, which isn't easy to do with stats when a guy plays only one season in college.

So long as Woody doesn't leave Around the Horn, the best show on ESPN.

Ouch! I wonder if westword is bitter about Woody lying to them.

    I would assume yes.

Here's a quickie review of his column today, though you have read down a bit to get to it. There's a compliment in there but still more punches.
