He wasn't a good player. He had the size and enough speed to be a decent receiver, but there was something missing on him. He didn't have game speed and he couldn't play special teams. He also had a lot of trouble learning Andy Reid's playbook. And it doesn't help if you that mediocre and you are a loudmouthed idiot, too.

The most telling thing is all the teams that have passed on him. The Chiefs gave him a shot and even with their crappy receiver corp. he couldn't hold a place. The Cowboys worked him out before the season and didn't sign him. The Browns even gave him a look early in the season and didn't sign him. It's amazing to think that he was a first round pick, and in that draft, Chad Johnson went in the second round and Steve Smith went in the third round.

More proof that all that self-serious pre-draft preparation is just another exercise in NFL self-glorification. It boils down to: We don't know shit.

This just in: Marques Colston is the best rookie WR in the league by a mile, and he was drafted three spots before Mr. Irrelevant. And the NFL thought he was a tight end even though he went to a school that RAN THE RUN AND SHOOT!!!

Maybe Freddie Mitchell is now "The People's Substitute Teacher" and they gave him a gay ass belt for it

The best rip of Freddie came from Bill Belichick after the Super Bowl: "We were happy when he was in the game."

The only thing F.Mitchell will be remembered for is catching that great play/pass from Donovan McNabb two years ago at Dallas.

Freddie was interviewed Friday by the Los Angeles ESPN radio show and he admitted that he and McNabb didn't see eye to eye on stuff. Said he has a knee injury (meniscus tear) that he's allowing to heal before trying again to hook on with an NFL team. I turned off the radio, however, when he was asked if he thinks his outspoken behavior was a problem. He said it was blown out of proportion by the media. YEAH, RIGHT!!!

Only an idiot would call out Rodney Harrison, especially before a big game. 'Nuff said.
