Some - I'm just saying - might say these magazines are pandering a bit.

Imperfect people should under no circumstances ever be encouraged or made to feel good about themselves. Ever.

The headline less than an inch to the left of the "body positive" model:

"Strong & Hot: Get Toned With DIY Barre."

If you are running four times a week, and you're still big after a few months, then it isn't genetics. It's you. It's your diet.

And that's perfectly fine with me if you say, "You know what? I'd rather have the extra slice of pizza and the third beer." For the most part, people should be confident in how they look. Not everyone was meant to be a Men's Fitness cover model.

But, I'm sorry, for 99.9 percent of the population, if you exercise regularly and are still obese or near obese, you're not doing it right.

If only that message could've been delivered free from the distraction of the big fat fatty, amirite?

Dick, in all sincerity: You might be well served to apply the same skepticism to the American standards for "obesity" that you apply to, say, sexual assault statistics.

Well, these are certainly some interesting posts from the thread on the "What's Your Excuse?" mom thread.

It seems that one poster was more than OK with Maria Kang's fat-shaming, and chided people for "stuff[ing] ourselves with bad food choices on the road to obesity and diabetes," while another had mixed emotions because of the message it sent to women.

Why, it's almost like the former adjusts his opinion based upon whether he can try to troll/post-stalk someone he doesn't like!
