    It's so weird that Kim Martin is still of college age. I was interviewing her, a bronze medal draped around her neck, six years ago.

    She (Martin) was incredible in goal. In Thursday's game, she did everything including standing on her head to keep the puck out of the net. Rightly so, she was the MVP of the tourney.

    She's a sophomore, Boomer.

    Did Sara O'Toole make an impression on you, Rosie?
    Assist on the first goal and a shorthanded goal too, I believe. She went to high school in our coverage area. Gonna try to reach her for a story today.

    The shorthanded goal was sweet. She made a nifty little move, she's got the puck, it's a breakaway and she scores. The crowd went nuts. That goal was key not only because it put UMD up, 3-0, but because it was a figurative nail in Wisconsin's coffin.

    Yes, I was impressed. :)
