    This movie is so very, very awful. It has plot holes the size of Colorado.

    But I can't turn away from it. It is indeed, as others have noted, a generation-defining classic.

    And the running thread from July was an SportsJournalists.com instant classic.

    It's like rubbernecking at a really, really bad car accident. You don't want to look but you can't stop yourself.

    I was just about to begin my freshman year of college when this movie came out. I can still remember the little neighborhood theater I saw it in.
