Wishing "good luck" to end an interview: polite or a little unethical? Awkward?

    I generally don't call a coach "Coach" because it can put him in the frame of mind that you're one of his players. I use the guy's or gal's first name to imply that we're peers and equals.

    Because if we extend the Coach-as-title further, what do you call your AD? Or a conference commissioner? "Hi, Commissioner Slive ... ?" Or would you call him Mike?

    I dunno, he never obtained captain's bars, it might run afoul of the Stolen Valor Act.
