FYI: Just in case anyone made the same mistake I did, Michael did not kill Bodie. I thought it was Michael. But it wasn't.
The fork he didn't.

After work, I'm rewatching that to confirm it. It HAD to by Michael "Corleone" Lee pullin' the trigger.

Jason must have popped too much phen-phen.

I didn't think it was Michael either. I thought Michael "Jack Ruby-ed" who killed Bodie. Marlo said there was another job he wanted him to do.

Losing Bodie was a foregone conclusion, esp. after the lunch with McNulty, who called him a soldier. But he went down like one.

Just a draining show. No winners (except maybe Lester Freamon) and Carcetti seems like he's going to be just another a self-serving pol. the scene between Wee Bey & Namond's mom was good as was the sitdown with Bunny and Wee Bey.

I think there's another winner in this situation: Namond. He got out of the game and has a damn good chance to stay out of it now that he's with Bunny. I just wish Wee-Bey came down harder on DeLonda. I can't stand that gold-diggin', lazy bench.

I was a bit confused on Michael's last hit as well. If he wasn't the one who killed Bodie, that guy sure as heck had the costume down to a tee. As a fan of the show and the writing, I love how they've given Michael his own foreboding look- The slouched walk, the hoodie over the head. And his eyes are cold as ice now, fish eyes. In the shadows he looks like the grim reaper coming for someone.
I agree that last montage was heartbreaking. Even in the case of Michael, because you see that good young kid who just wants to protect his brother, the one from Episodes 38, 39, and 40. The one being consumed right now by the Reaper.
Dukie wasn't as heartbreaking just because I figured he'd fall into Michael's crew. He is a smart kid who needs an anchor. Prez served as that anchor, but he couldn't follow him to Douglass high. So his anchor is Michael, who won't be left behind as Dukie grows. Wonder if Bug will end up like De'Angelo, though. The kid who broke my heart was Randy, truly a sweet kid with a mischevous streak-not unlike most of us in middle school, I'm sure. He will emerge in season 5 a thoroughly changed man. Namond is the one who got lucky and got a hand out, and I never would have guessed it would be him from the first three episodes. I thought season 2 would stay my favorite because of the complexities it tackled, but season 4 has taken its place on the throne. Now how much will we in the media love Simon taking 'the fourth estate' under the microscope in season 5? I can't wait.

Notice the reporters in the background as the bodies were pulled out? The harried looking bald dude? is that supposed to be Simon?

Makes no sense.

Before Bodie bit it, Marlo is telling Chris that maybe he should have "his young pup do it."

It would be the most illogically filmed moment I have seen in the series.

And, if Whitlock is correct, I'll apologize and take a drug test.

Didn't you see Chris say right after that it would be his first hit and you're not supposed to do someone you know on your first hit?

fork...

Just watched it.

Michael did not do Bodie, he did the kid who did Bodie. Bodie biting it was the most heartbreaking death so far for me, but he did it with honor. He and Omar have such an amazing code.

Absolutely incredible hour of television, with a lot to look forward to in Season 5. The Greeks are back. The band (McNulty, Kima, Freamon) is getting back together. What I'm wondering is what Omar's plans are. Events seemed to imply he was getting out of the game, as much as someone can actually do that.

I'm headed to pish into a cup.

Sorry, Whitlock.
