Will Robbie Alomar be elected to the Hall of Fame? What say you?

  1. Yes - he's one of the best 2nd basemen of all-time

    78.4%
  2. No - he doesn't deserve election

    18.9%
  3. No - he deserves election but HIV issues and steroid fueled numbers from other players will keep him

It's the era the Mizzou has seen play.

Thirty-two votes. Holy small sample size, Batman.

I didn't know which Hall of Fame thread to put this under, but ESPN.com has how the ESPN folks voted. Get a load of Barry Stanton's ballot: Morris, Mattingly, Martinez (as in Edgar), Martinez (as in Tino) and Surhoff

I don't know what I find more troubling, that ESPN has 18 HOF voters or that one voted for Surhoff.

Not to dispute the rest of your argument, but two of these are nothing more than popularity contests.

There are times when someone is voted into the all-star game and they don't deserve it. If it happens 12 times, more than likely, the guy was pretty good.
