    On the one hand: Nope, I sure haven’t.

    On the other hand: Maybe encouragement to decouple sex from alcohol is a good thing overall.

    I bet you have. It might not have looked like sexual assault. It might not have felt like sexual assault. But if she had a few drinks ... not blotto, mind you, but certainly not sober ... she was likely incapable of granting consent. Bingo ... you just committed sexual assault.

    NR’s David French was writing awhile back about how the prevalence of alcohol in the hook-up culture suggests, to him, that casual sex like that might not be all that and a bag of chips. If it seems we need a few belts to get in the mood to fuck a stranger, maybe we don’t really think fucking a stranger is all that fun.
