Editor of Deadspin comes out with a book, God Save the Fan. You're gonna love the cover. Spends most of the book bashing the WWL, which is fine by me. Some tidbits:

On Screamin' A: "When poor ratings proved that viewers enjoyed programs hosted by someone who didn't make them want to run under their couch and hide, he blamed the network for a poor promotional campaign."

Mariotti: "Know for his cowardly bombast. Rarely attends the games he writes about, drawing the ire of any athlete or coach confused enough to take him seriously. Called "a fag" by Ozzie Guillen, an unfortunate term but not unfortunate enough to prevent almost every media member from taking Guillen's side."

John Clayton: "Spends most of his time trying not to be stuffed into lockers by his ESPN colleagues."

Skip Bayless: "Longtime columnist turned ESPN personality, considered the personification of a car alarm that won't stop blaring."

ESPN: "[It is] a big corporation and the nature of a big corporation is to find something that works and then shove it down our throats until we hate everything we thought we enjoyed about it in the first place."
