Apparently the teams who are still playing will play what's left of their schedule, but obviously skipping any of the eight teams that aren't there. So for the Suns, it will be:

Dallas, Clippers, Dallas, Indiana, Washington, Philly, Miami, OKC. They miss Minnesota and Cleveland.

Makes sense. Lakers would have Houston, Denver, Utah twice, Toronto, Washington, Indiana, Oklahoma City.

They would miss Charlotte, Detroit, Cleveland, Minnesota, Sacramento.

Other games they would not play would be Clippers and Phoenix. Also, they have that Clippers game postponed by Kobe's death. Maybe teams only play teams in their own conference?

I'm fine with what the NBA is doing. Seems about the best possible solution -- the teams that are still competitive take part, the ones that aren't don't need to go through the risk/hassle of returning and playing in pointless games.

As for the 2020-21 season, I suspect they'll start in December and look very, very hard at making that permanent. There's been a growing push for that within the league anyway.

Early wagering is 2020-21 seasons begin on Christmas Day (NBA) and Jan. 1 (NHL). Probably not with fans, unless there is social-distancing protocol for arenas

Beat me to it - There has been movement to start later, and to finish later, to avoid as much of the NFL season as possible. It feels like the Christmas Day games are always the first "big" NBA focus point each year, so, might as well lean into that. Finishing up in the middle of summer, you'd only have MLB regular season to compete with.

So they’d have no competition at all is what you’re saying.

    Fire it up, NHL.

In NHL-speak, shouldn't they have said the player as an inner body injury?

Conference realignment, FCS edition. Florida A&M is leaving the MEAC to join the SWAC beginning in 2021. Travel costs were among the reasons cited, although it was just one of many dealing with the financial side of things. The SWAC apparently gives members a better cut of everything from postseason money to merchandise money. With the latter, the SWAC allows schools to cut their own deals, which is not a small consideration for an HBCU with a strong brand name.

FAMU BOT votes unanimously on the move to the SWAC

Terrible headline. It suggests that the practicing players spread it among their group. The story doesn't say that.
It says they were tested on Tuesday, practiced on Wednesday and learned the results on Thursday.

Arkansas had a player test positive this week. He’s now in isolation.
